Being part of the writing community on twitter, I made friends with some great writers with refreshing story concepts. One of them pitched a story revolving a pirate princess set in India. Being somewhat familiar with piracy, as well as the history of Indian Ocean trade, I offered to put together some resources about piracy in India. I had an interesting conversation last night with my former teacher in Iranian studies. We were sitting at the bank of the river Main, listening to 2pac and talking about colonialism in history and politics in the Middle West (aka Europe).
